Fuck these asshole from the sites that played cop and posted pictures of "suspects" in the Boston Marathon bombing. I was going to put this in the "Incident" thread but it deserves it's own. RIP young man and I hope the pricks that accused you never get a good night's sleep again.

Authorities is Rhode Island say it is "very possible" a man's body that was pulled out of the Providence River Tuesday is that of missing Brown University student Sunil Tripathi, who was falsely accused of being one of the Boston Marathon bombers on social media websites.

It's kind of unlikely that the two are related. The guy has a history of depression and had been missing since before the bombing.

I am curious about the autopsy and how long he'd been dead. I wonder if the accusation pushed him the rest of the way. Early accounts I am seeing say he had been in the water a long time, maybe since before the Marathon. A lot of details readily available on the wire that Fox left out.

Doesn't change the disgusting nature of the witch hunt, but it seems like Fox wants to paint this as a vigilante story, and there is no indication in any way that is what it was.

I havent researched much into this but my first thought when I saw Bossmans post and yours was did the accusations online push him over the edge to kill himself. I doubt very much someone killed him but the way people were going on random photos after that happened I wonder how much it hit him to push him if thats the case. the dangers of social media
