Well considering the book is on issue #94 with no end in sight and the first two seasons really only cover the first 12 issues, I'd say there's enough material to keep the show going for far longer than that.

I think having them take 2 or 3 shots for a head shot would make the suspension of disbelief of them never reloading much more difficult.
