OT: The Walking Dead - BEWARE OF SPOILERS

Carl kills Shane when Shane was about to kill Rick in the woods. Much further on in the story when they realize that you don't have to get bit to become a walker, Rick actually goes back to where they buried Shane and digs him up and shoots Zombie Shane in the head and says "I just killed you again you son of a bitch". It was a moment that really showed how cold Rick was becoming, but they threw that out the window. I guess Carl shooting Shane while he was still alive was too badass for TV, oh well.

Dale dies during an arc where they're being hunted by cannibals. He gets bit before being taken by the cannibals but they didn't know it. He wakes up with his legs amputated and sees that they ate them, and he starts laughing hysterically while yelling "HAHAHAHA! YOU JUST ATE TAINTED MEAT!" He also had a romance with Andrea and she wears his hat now that he's dead.

Definitely a must read. Anything by Robert Kirkman is worth reading, especially Invincible.

They are a lot of fun. I like that the series is different in some ways. Minor spoiler: for instance Sophia is still alive

Dale's finale in the comics was hilarious.

That's how I feel about Shane's death. I bet network executives were uncomfortable with the way it was in the comic. So they tweaked it and made him shoot a zombie. I do like the way they did it in relation to Rick's character.

It was good character development for Carl. I liked how they put the guilt of Dales death on him. I don't expect him to hesitate anymore.

the whole turning into a zombie without being bitten was in a Romero movie as well

in The Land of the Dead one of the guys living in the tower hung himself and after he died he turned into a zombie and killed his son. Romero already touched on that so its not that I was surprised.

I guess we also discovered that you don't have to bitten to turn into a walker as some had mentioned earlier in the thread. I don't know if it happened in the book like that, but it was good writing to add that element at this point. Heightens the drama. Makes it feel like things are getting worse just when they seemed to be going better.

I just don't understand where all these walkers have come just out of nowhere. Even if more people are now "turning" that hadn't before, why are they all coming to that farm in the countryside where you'd think there wouldn't be a lot of people? Odd.

one thing does drive me a little nuts while on the farm. for simple tasks like carrying some 2x6 pieces of wood they use vehicles to transport them. jesus gas is kinda at a premium maybe they should just I don't know carry them over or use a horse to drag them....

someone had put the music to the scene from Office Space where they are bashing the shit out of the printer to this zombie smash scene, and it works incredibly well.
the scene at 0:39 (where they all start kicking) makes you think it was a bit of an homage.
