Money can't buy happiness, but it can buy bacon
for a great week - I can't wait to make my next visit to this great city.
I've been debating a trip to Montreal for awhile now, sell me on this place. What were some of the highlights?
Oh, by the way, you can rent a SuperSuite at the Bell Centre for one game for the low low price of $4000 - They can accomodate up to 20 people, so if my math is correct, that's $200 per head. Only issue is that they have a 5 year waiting list.
you do the arena tour?
/welcome back
Yup, I did the arena tour, could not go into the Habs dressing room, but we do go into the alumni lounge and media centre which was pretty neat.
I'm going to Montreal for the first time at the end of August. I'll either come back with pics of the Habs dressing room or a jail cell.
Wish me luck.
Old Montreal is really neat with the classic cobblestones streets and European architecture, the subway (Metro) makes it very easy to get around town, I took a tour of McGill University (it was one of the few Canadian universities that made Harvard_Oiler's list of acceptable secondary educational institutions) and it's very cool, saw Stade Saputo where the Impact play, and visited the Bell Centre. The Habs Hall of Fame at the Bell Centre is very neat and would you believe front and centre when you first walk in is a Damphousse jersey (it brought a smile to my face).

We are all Habs now?
lol - Oh I still don't care for the Habs, but you have to respect that team's history and championship pedigree.
/It was funny on the tour of the Bell Centre, there was a old coot who was obviously a Maple Leafs fan and he was arguing that Maple Leaf Gardens was the cathedral of hockey. I almost had to break up a skirmish between the old geezer and the tour guide.
Couldn't remember his name. Wasn't he the genius that predicted one of those sad Oiler teams from, well this millennium, was going to 450 goals in a season or some such absurdity?
