I had been told that my new little Pitty had a very strong prey drive and would not get along with cats. This was fine, as I have no cats, do not like cats, and do not like people who own cats...so whatever.
However, we have rabbits in our backyard. Usually, they take off as soon as I open the door and lil' Rosie cries and whimpers as I fight to get her on her outdoor leash. This gives them time to clear out.
HOWEVER,
This morning I walked out to a freshly gutted and still twitching bunny. It was pretty disturbing so I threw it into the woods before she could eat it....but I mean that was rough to see this morning......
Why couldn't it have been a stupid cat.
Dogs are dogs and predators, and I get that and don't blame her or anything but I feel kind of bad. Maybe I need to take her hunting.
How could I have put this bunny out of it's misery. I just chucked it. I did not know what to do.
(nobody has to post the Dr. Moreau clip, I thought about it, but this was bloody mess)
