It's gonna be weird listening to Mariners games next season. Every Mariners fan knows his voice, he's been the only constant for the Mariners since their first season. Made listening to the M's enjoyable even when they sucked, which was almost every year. He'll be greatly missed.

voice of a generation around these parts, that's for sure.

One of my most interesting meals ever was at Metropolitan Grill in Seattle about 10 yrs ago.
Sitting at the table right next to me was Lou Piniella, Dave Niehaus, and Joe Morgan.
I was so busy eavesdropping, I don't think I said three words to my wife all dinner. Terrific steak, too.
