Yep. I was in Oakland for my Army physical and watched it. Cool in one way, but kinda sad the Bambino's record fell.

I never once was sad that he passed Babe, it was exciting. I do remember the offseason as he sat at 714 he got death threats, or at least that was reported, by those who didn't want a black guy to be the home run king.

Saw him hit #709 @ Fulton County. He hit 40 HR's in 390 at-bats at age 39, I believe.
