Oh man, feel the clock ticking on days like this. I saw #715 on TV, most all of us saw it.
Yep. I was in Oakland for my Army physical and watched it. Cool in one way, but kinda sad the Bambino's record fell.

Guy lived a great, long life. I wonder how many Ne. Leaguers are still living now.

I never once was sad that he passed Babe, it was exciting. I do remember the offseason as he sat at 714 he got death threats, or at least that was reported, by those who didn't want a black guy to be the home run king.

Absolute legend as a player, and a great man to boot.

RIP Hank. Thanks for the memories.

Saw him hit #709 @ Fulton County. He hit 40 HR's in 390 at-bats at age 39, I believe.

Bad day for Atlanta and Baseball. Absolute legend here and sucks that we won't be seeing him at Brave's games anymore.

RIP...

Amazingly never hit 50 hrs in a season but was the model for consistency/greatness.

^ Every time I see that clip I can't help but think he must have freaked out for a second when those fans ran up from behind him.
