Garbage decision by the ref to award that penalty, there's tugging of jerseys on every corner. Oh well.

:ohwell:

The Caps released a coaching update on their website last week, in which president Bobby Lenarduzzi reiterated that it’s a priority for the new coach to have MLS experience, though it “needn’t be as a head coach,” he said. “It could be as an assistant or as a player, but we would like him to have knowledge of the league.”

That description covers both Kreis and Robinson, as well as the other confirmed interviewees — former Montreal Impact coach and MLS midfielder Jesse Marsch, and U.S. U-17 coach Richie Williams, who played for D.C. United and was an assistant with the New York Red Bulls.

Lenarduzzi also admitted that the MLS requirement will exclude some “very, very good coaches” from the process, and the club is believed to have passed on an opportunity to interview Stuart Pearce, who recently expressed interest in coaching in MLS.

Pearce, the 51-year-old longtime Nottingham Forest and England defender, has coached Manchester City, England’s under-21s, the Great Britain Olympic team, and has served as a caretaker manager for England.

I haven't looked at Pearce's coaching resume, but he seemed to play like a "coach on the field" if that makes any sense.

no #2 keeper in the system now ... young cdn national teamer simon thomas bids adieu :ohwell: ... they couldnt possibly sign Carducci to the big team ????

I liked Heinemann ... goal scoring machine in reserve league and made alot of things happen when he would come in as a late game sub

Rusin was a solid squad player too

Kobayashi ... i would have given him another shot ... he was a technical player who Rennie didnt use effectively imo

"these things only happen in corrupt leagues like Serie A"

yah right :L

Football match-fixing: 'Usually it costs £70,000 for the players? - Telegraph

At the first meeting in Manchester, on Thursday Nov 14, the man explained that fixing matches in the UK was relatively expensive, even in lower leagues. Several players are usually required to fix a match, he claimed.

“So in England the cost is very high. So usually for the players it is £70,000,” said the fixer. In the first match that he claimed could be fixed, the man alleged he had agreed with the players that two goals would be scored in the first half and two in the second.

Furthermore, one player would “take” a yellow card in the first 10 minutes to prove to the fixers that the team was “on”. The player would be paid £5,000 for the yellow and, at that point, hundreds of thousands of pounds would flood on to international betting exchanges.

and as my bro brings up ...

But can Bradley deal with all of the pressures, political problems & distractions in Vancouver compared to say, Egypt? Oh...

Report has #WhitecapsFC offering Bob Bradley coaching job. Salary of around $1 million per
Bob Bradley Offered Whitecaps Job | Soccerly

Brian Straus ‏@BrianStraus 30m Source: Kreis "almost 100%" to NYCFC, Bob Bradley "seriously considering"
Vancouver Whitecaps. (My hunch: BB's 1st choice remains Europe.)

I think i saw Bradley was offered the Staebeck job in Norway

so it comes down to:

MLS v Nowegian Tippeligaen
Vancouver v Oslo
21000 seat stadium v 7000 seat stadium
CONCACAF champions league play versus "THE" Champions league play

would be a real kick in the nuts if he chooses Norway v MLS but Stabaek is almost perennially in Europa/Champions League and well ... that kinda dwarfs the CONCACAF

/oh yah ... then theres the money lol
