Old Weirsy is only +1 through 13 holes.

I'm not a historian or any kind of statistician but I believe that puts him on pace for his best round, anywhere in any situation, in more than 10 years. So he's got that going for him, which is nice.

Tiger Woods is currently tied for the lead - Just rolled in a beauty from a long distance for birdie.

In other news, what has happened to Jordan Spieth?!? Has he been battling injuries or is he just having difficulty recapturing the magic?

Well...

...he hits his driver worse than I do (always has).

He hits very few greens.

His short game is just OK.

And he's no longer canning everything inside of 25 feet.

Outside of his putting and occasionally his iron play the guy doesn't have much going on. He never really did.

The one thing is that he's scrappy as fuck and he's a generally a pretty good closer.

He's trying to put it all back together but it sure doesn't look good right now.

Of the amateurs playing at Augusta National this week are a Norwegian, a Mexican and a South African. Nice to see some international flavoUr among the best young players in the world.

For those keeping score at home the guy from the non-shithole country is leading the amateur tourney.

Cool feature on the Masters website.

If you go to the Leaderboard and click on a player, it brings up their scorecard. If the hole is in yellow on the scorecard, they have condensed video that quickly shows you all their shots from just that hole. Really great stuff.
