I hit a deer on the way into work this morning - Slammed on the brakes to miss the first one, but I clipped the second one with the left front end of my car (popped my turn indicator light out of its socket).

I don't know what was worse, the sickening sound as I hit the fawn, or those deer eyes that were looking back at me from the side of the road.

Glad to here you weren't hurt and the accident wasn't worse. :)

I'm glad you're okay. It's always unfortunate when you hit a deer.

But in order to contrast your bad way to start a day, here's a good one.

They should have put the deer crossing warning sign a mile down the road so you can see them.

That sounds like something Steven Wright would say, Boss...

/That's a rep, by the way

Not a pleasant way to start the day at all for more reasons than one.

When will deer and moose learn? It only took them billions of years of evolution/natural selction to become what they are and now they've had an entire century to adapt to motor vehicles entering their environment. What's taking so long? Stay off our roads!

Glad you're okay!
