Fanatics. I bought some Stadium Series gear (not much) and they gave me "fan cash" to use on a future purchase.

I get three emails a week reminding me to use my fan cash.

It's twenty cents.

You're late for work or something, very low on gas, all the gas stations are on the opposite side of the road, you finally see one and make the u-turn to get in, pull up to pump, get out of car, then you notice all the pumps have plastic bags on them signaling they are out of gas. I'll just stop here.

Kid's car battery dead. Call roadside assistance through insurance to jump start it and test the battery. While waiting for them, get a "random" and unsolicited text:

Especially since I googled the number and got the above screenshot from a Reddit post from a year ago asking WTF was up with it. Mine was verbatim

The real question is, did you take advantage of the offer?

Check Engine Lights. They don't give you a clue what's wrong. You have to take them to a shop to find out. They changed the gas cap on my car which turned my light off for two weeks, but it's on again. They now want another $800 which "might" fix it. Why is their tech so useless?

Perfect storm of working at home with an unemployed (hopefully not for long) spouse. She usually does a project or two a day but is mostly bored, which I get, but I can't really help with that.
So what I get is "conversations" like:

after sitting on the couch with her having coffee for maybe half an hour then going upstairs to begin work, maybe 3 minutes later she comes into the office, sits, and asks "Hey how's work today?"

walking to the kitchen with a cup in my hand "getting some water huh?"

walking across the hall to the bathroom "whatcha doing?"

I usually don't go into the office on Mondays. I actually volunteered to go in this Monday.

Misophonia is a disorder in which certain sounds trigger emotional or physiological responses that some might perceive as unreasonable given the circumstance. Those who have misophonia might describe it as when a sound “drives you crazy.” Their reactions can range from anger and annoyance to panic and the need to flee

I am at the point where I believe this to be a disorder can just start.

I have a co worker sitting right behind me that plays the loudest music on the shittiest wireless speaker and opens snack bags that have the loudest crinkles. It has triggered me like I didn't think it would. So I just crank my headset and ignore everyone as it seems I am the only one affected by it.

This literally made me laugh out loud because it reminded me of the meeting Peter Griffin went to in the fat guy strangler episode.

All of the fat guys were sitting around farting burping and opening potato chip bags that made so much noise

I have an office mate who keeps coming into my office and digging my snack trash out of my trash can and I have to chase her out with a shoe.

I'm glad this thread popped to the top, because this is a very picky complaint and I was thinking about this thread the last couple days. My big thing is I don't understand the WHY of this decision. I imagine there was a meeting where some guy had an idea that was stupid and he won the day based on his title rather than the merits. Others were probably complaining to their partners about how dumb their boss is. Let's get into it with an acknowledgment this is trivial, unimportant and really doesn't matter. But I want to share it with you and you'll see this every day now. You're welcome.

GMC Trucks put their logo and the model of the truck just under it for most of their trucks. Makes sense. Then the trim level is listed below and to the side in smaller font. Like this...

2019-gmc-sierra-denali-inline3-1535326128.jpg

However, if you get the Denali TRIM level, they reverse the model and trim making the trim the focus. It makes it appear like the trim is actually a model and apparently GMC dealerships have confused consumers asking to test drive a Denali, a trim available presumably for ALL of their models. The dealers then have to explain that to customers, probably working to not make their customers feel stupid in the process. Here is what that looks like...

2023-gmc-sierra-1500-4wd-crew-cab-147-denali-rear-exterior-view_100886615_m.jpg

So, again, not a big deal. Who cares. But why? Why? Why? Why? It makes zero sense, is confusing, and reverses a sensible hierarchy of make/model/trim in both order and hierarchical font size.

So if you didn't know, now you do. And you will never unsee it. Welcome to OCD hell.

I thought the Denali was a model. If nothing else I learned that today. I dont use that term anyhow. I ask for the McKinley model.

People who respond to FB links I post telling me I am not worth engaging with - every time I post something. :)
