RIP Randy.

Randy and Elizabeth were at the Buffalo auto show a few years back signing autographs. I had my two son's with me in line when time ran out. My best friend (intoxicated at the time) told Macho man "If ya don't give my nephew an autogrff imm gonna kick ur assss". Macho man smiled and gave him one. The smile on Elizabeths face is still in my mind. She was a knockout !

In honor of Randy I just gave my wife a flying elbow. I had been standing at the top of the steps for an hour for her to walk by below. Winning!

Check this out, look at the list and ages...

Wrestling's Dirty Secret
While many people think of wrestling as a big joke, there is one thing about wrestling that isn't funny. The death rate among wrestlers is alarmingly high. The first time time this story was covered by the national media was in 2003 on HBO's Real Sports with Bryant Gumble. That segment featured Vince McMahon mocking the interviewer and slapping the notes from his hands. In addition, the only wrestler to speak up for the wrestlers, Roddy Piper, was fired after the piece aired.

This site is good about keeping up with wrestling deaths (in a day or two Macho man will be there):

I generally stay away from death posts other than to say the normal RIP etc.

I hope and pray that his wife sues the ever loving shit out of WWF or WWE or what the fuck ever it is now.

These guys got so juiced up to make it in that industry and far too many are dying short lives. I mean no disrespect to Randy Macho Man Savage. In fact he was my fav back in those days but nobody can convince me that the Roids these guys was on is now killing them. McMahon knew it and did not care and made BILLIONS on it.

58 yrs old is way too young to be having Heart Attacks and just do a little bit of research and you will see that all of these guys have big time health problems.

Some will say "they knew what they was doing and the risks" and I say BS!

McMahon knew what he was doing and made a ton of money on these guys lifes. May you rot in hell Vince.

One of my childhood heroes. I'm pretty sure I was the only kid at my school who was cheerng for him to be Hulk Hogan at WM5. His death completes the triecta of deaths to my favourite wrestlers. He was my favourite during the late 80s early 90s. Mr Perfect was my favourite from the early 90s to mid 90s and Owen Hart was my favourite from the mid 90s to later 90s. Ironically they died in the opposite order.

1 of my favourite stories of Macho Man was when he asked "Elizabett" to marry him. I grew up with 3 sisters, 2 of whom absolutely hated wrestling with the other being a very casual fan and that's being generous. I was watching WWF Superstars as I did every Saturday and when that whole marriage proposal situation developped it caught their attention and all 3 started watching with me and even cheered when he proposed and she accepted with an "Oh yeah!". That was the only time I remember my 2 older sisters showing any interest in wrestling, let alone actually cheering.

There's no way of knowing if roids had something to do with it, but lots of people have heart attacks before 58, including my dad (he survived).

While that is certainly true. How many of the "pro wrestlers" from that era are now dead?

As athletes just look at that era and you will be alarmed at how many athletes in amazing shape died of heart or kidney failure. I do not believe its simply coincidence.
