From dead last in last year's Women's World Cup to a bronze medal at the Olympics a year later - Nice turnaround under John Herdman.

That's King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden, with Queen Silvia of Sweden, emphatically cheering on his men's handball team in its win over rival Demark on Wednesday, 24-22. And that's a woman sitting in front of him that wishes he was slightly less emphatic.

The pattern is this:
45 seconds of broadcast, one minute of commercials. No interruption to the pattern, and no regard for what is actually happening on screen. The commercials drop every 45 seconds and it's the same 3. Fucking Will Ferrell, the bitch in the panties who needs to die, and fat women in Times Square weighing themselves so they can be inspired enough to eat Kellogg's cardboard flakes.

I have used two different Internet connections and three browsers each, all the same. I am trying to "borrow" someone else's cable account login credentials to see if they've just targeted me with it, but have not had any luck yet.

Canadian brothers, is CBC requiring you to log in with your cable account to view content? I have a group of Canadian IPs to spoof, but if I have to log in it's gonna take me a while to "get" one.

Poor lady has apparently never been to a live sporting event in her whole life.

Damain (Omen II) hanging tough in the decathlon...

tsnjamesduthie: Decathlon Pole Vault now complete. CAN's Damian Warner is still 4th, just 11 pts (nothing in that event) out of bronze. Two to go tonight.

Well, whatever you do don't clear out your cookies and try again.

2 minutes, uninterrupted. Then TEN ads. Back for 30 seconds. Same TEN ads again. The two uninterrupted minutes were shots of them panning the crowd. The Ads started when the riders got up to the gate.

I'm going to go home at lunch and take every Fruit of the Loom product in my house and burn it.

her after game comments were spectacular you could see the tears welling up. pure heart. love her. she alone will inspire thousands of young girls to rise up and play. brilliant.

our mens program is fucking brutal. I hope they take a long look in the mirror and get this corrected....

it would help if canadians would choose to play for canada instead of other countries ... but I can understand why they prefer to have a euro passport

well, with MLS now in three Canadian cities, it should help retain Canadians players to play for Canada internationally. Also, CSA needs to get their poop in a group and attract quality coaching (i.e. spend some money).

this cdn womens team is a golden generation type team for us ... theyve essentially been together since the u19's were held here in 2002

cant say the same for the mens program ... never built off of anything with the same group of players ... did nothing coming out of the u20's held in canada in 2007

hard to compete with the Euro cities for what they offer compared to playing soccer here. play against the best in the world or those that cant quite cut it there or are too old to continue there.... would be a tough choice

soccer is so much about familiarity of playing in units ... lesser talent/skill level can be overcome by familiarity (they didnt prove that today but the french womens soccer team had 11 players from the same womens club team)

with all our men spread out everywhere and flying in for 1 or 2 games friendly sets, this (the results of the past 10 years) is what you get

Id like to say that 3 cdn teams will help build that but thats not their top priority (to develop cdn talent)

I shit on TFC alot but they seem to be the most in tune with having a youthful cdn presence in MLS

If it makes you feel any better, our Men's Team is really not that far off from yours.

for a while in the 70's and 80's canada was handing the US mens soccer team its lunch over and over again ... hosting the world cup in 94 changed the game

i used to rip Michael Bradley for being nothing more than the coaches son ... but he's developed into a world class player ... canada doesnt have anyone remotely close to that

Dero has done alot in MLS but on the world stage he's a minnow

Man, I'm still trying to find a friend to go to the bar with me to watch the game. I was just gonna buy a pop and watch. No ones jumping on it. COME ON PEOPLE. I don't want to go alone. That's just awkward.
