I had thought of that before...the people who are REALLY into this are those who REALLY hate the war in Iraq. HOWEVER, there's a bit more involved when it comes to kidnapping and abusing children for no reason but to hold power. I have no issue with this activism is that they just want people to know. Nothing wrong with telling people, that's very important.

is it too much to ask Obama to just send in a drone and put 1 in his head? I mean its happening all the time in Pakistan and Afghanistan with impunity ... pull yourself away from March Madness and get to work Obama!!!

I can agree with that.

I use oil in all of my cooking.

Seriously, if they want oil, just go to the grocery store. Gosh!

This is replies to others so you have to take it in the context of s discussion. it was actually pretty educational and I will link the thread at the bottom. most of you know this type of thing is somewhat in my wheelhouse, so I figure you may want to read:

Ignore the cynic and spread this shit around.

So what.....

Other people didn't....

Publicity aids intelligence quite often....by the way...

Maybe some rich guy sees this and it strikes a nerve. Maybe he hires "Cat Shannon" (rep to whoever gets the reference) to slide in and off this guy....

Who knows....

Or a rich guy with a nasty streak toward something like this...or an influential politician.....or a rogue mercenary group....point is this type of shut should be taking up the investigative journalism time that is spent on Snooki and Mitt Romney's tax returns, or Obama's birth certificates....

Is it?

I would rather my social media be filled with this than what it usually is. Awareness is a huge weapon and I know that from and angle that you don't. These stories need to get out and be out. There was no sensationalism in my post. Look at headlines from the past 6 months....

We psychoanalyze every stump speech of every politician and micro-read every word they have ever said. Then we do the same for hollywood B listers while ignoring real issues. Ask a Rwandan about our apathy.....maybe facebook and twitter would have helped with that....

I was looking for a "i see what you did there" :(

My "Drill baby, drill!" comment was a sophisticated form of an "I see what you did there" post, because it took into account that you were talking about oil wells...albeit in a subtle and well-disguised manner. :thumb:

LOL at masturbating in public

"Stupid Osma Bin Laden."

On a serious note, still doesn't change the fact that there are children in Africa being forced into being soldiers and killing their own families.

I agree, but Kony is just the tip of the iceberg, there are plenty other men like him that go unnoticed. I just don't understand the criticism for this because it's merely educating the public. And I don't know if any of you guys have done mission work or just visited third world countries, but once you see it up close it's close to your heart and you'll do anything you can to stop it. Human trafficking is close to my heart, and I can tell you that I'd love to personally rip every man that helps that occur to pieces, but if I see injustice occurring, as a tax paying citizen, I feel it's my duty to let those with power know what's happening and encourage change. The world is bad, that's my belief, but just because I believe that doesn't mean I'll just sit by and let it happen. I know the idea of "pick your battles" comes into play, but all these guys are asking for is notoriety. That's the absolute least I can do.

And when you do pick your battles, pick one you care about. You'll fight harder then.
