Griffey is still one of my all time favorites, but I'm glad. The game has passed him by. Thanks for everything you've done for the Mariners Junior!

Agreed, John. One of my favorites, but it's time to move on. He might be a bigger help in an advisory role or something like that.

It was great watching the kid play. Too bad his career was slowed by injuries in his prime, but when it's time to go, it's time to go

I thought he already retired earlier this season (in the Mariners clubhouse in a leather recliner)

I remember his rookie year, I was at an O's game with my uncle. After his second at - bat my uncle turned to me and said "God Damn. Kid's got a sweeter swing than Frank Robinson".

My uncle never threw compliments around much. And that was as high a compliment he's ever paid an opposing athlete.

Shame about the injuries. Coulda been one of the best ever.
