I'm glad the Seahawks told him no, according to the article. But seriously, why the heck would the Eagles even be thinking about this? Do they have little faith in Vick now?
If you think about it, it makes sense for the eagles
They will 100% trade Kolb, leaving them with a need for a backup
Kafka is not good enough to be the backup
If he were to join a team, he wouldn't want to play 16 games anyway
He could come here and be the backup for Vick...and chances are Vick won't make it through a season unscathed
He and Andy are really close, and so he would fit in really well
It does make a lot of sense if you're an eagles fan, plus...who else is out there that could be a backup?
You just went through the Michael Vick circus and now you want to add another season long distraction to the mix? And start with the inevitable QB controversy? Stupid move Eagles.
On Saturday, CBSSports.com’s Ryan Wilson stirred the masses by writing about how the Eagles apparently were showing interest in everybody’s favorite retiree, Brett Favre.
Wilson pointed out that the source he was citing came from a Philadelphia talk radio host who isn’t always exactly … um … right.
Turns out the radio host’s report this time also was incorrect.
Although Eagles QB Michael Vick tweeted Sunday morning that he would welcome Favre as his backup (that update has mysteriously disappeared off his Twitter account), Foxsports.com’s Jay Glazer reports that two Eagles sources emphatically told him the rumors are false.
