Ive heard people say this before ... if only i could divorce myself from the hatred I feel towards the game/league

only time I can remember really betting on NBA was mid 90's when the NBA moved the 3 point line in and the BCLC (government lottery) just began offering bets on NBA preseason games. Their operation was mickey mouse back then. They would set odds on mondays using a panel of "experts" (ie govt bureaucrats) then publish them on paper menus on Wednesdays with games for the next 7 days offered AND THE LINES SET!!!. I dont think they really even used vegas lines as a starting point all the time.

Anyways ... they obviously set odds way to low for the over / under and people were making a killing. And for some unknown reason the government lottery didnt void the bets. I think the max bet amount back them was $20 on parlays and every game was going over ... It was an automatic bet win.

I made some good money that week (as did many). I can remember sitting in a lecture hall in a university buec stats class and thats all we were talking about ... was sports action shitting the bed with it over/under

Also remember there was a group of my paisanos who I had gone to high school with that made the local news buying hundreds of $20 parlay tickets and they kept rolling it over every night until the final Tuesday night of that weeks BCLC Sports Action schedule when they were in line to win over a million dollars.

... and the final game of the weeks preseason schedule went UNDER!

It was a "sports page" story done by Norma Wick on Utv (maybe you local guys remember it) ... she was at a pub watching the game with all these guys for the night ... and the dudes were just all crushed at the end of the story ... and the news story ended with one of them saying to Norma "hey Norma ... you owe me a smoke"

The lesson, as always, is if you're going to bet on basketball, make sure it's the NBA. College basektball is much too random (unless you personally have a player on the take)

(or if you pick the underdog, if they lose by 2 or 1, the bet still wins)

Edit: It's just too bad our coach is fucking stupid and doesn't get him involved enough. With Jackson out he has no choice but to get the ball in CJ's hands.

I guessing he will get around 20 -25 carries and get 125 + yds on the ground. The Bills like the screen pass to the backs so 6 or 7 catches for 30 to 40 yards. With that many touches, yes he gets a TD. The thing I like about Spiller is he can break it on any play.
