He's got real power, but he was not an All-Star this season. Joey Votto is the biggest snub I've seen in years. His WAR is 4.0, and only Justin Morneau (4.8), Robinson Cano (4.4), Carl Crawford (4.3), and David Wright (4.1) have been more valuable. He's been as valuable as Josh Hamilton, and that's saying something. He's been the single best first baseman in the National League this year and should be the All-Star starter.

o well. everybody knows the voting is not fair. remember 2 years ago in the nhl when the starting lineup for the east was almost all canadiens?

If Votto and Konerko aren't the last 2 All-Stars, something's wrong.

Youkilis has been better than Konerko this year. He's a huge plus defender and is having a very solid year at the plate. He's been the AL's second most valuable first baseman behind Morneau.

But Votto should be no contest.
