Thanks for the puppies. I was in dire need tonight. Growing up is stupid.

Any happy meal runs tonight, Puck?

I feel bad, but yes. today was McHappy Day ($1 per Happy Meal or Big Mac goes to charity).
so I took my daughter there for dinner before her swimming lesson.

I'm McDonalds-ed out for a while, methinks *buuurp*

You know, at many McDonald's restaurant's here in the US, if you take your dog through the drive-thru they will give you a milkbone for the dog. Is that true in Canada as well?

Jered Weaver just threw a no-hitter.

I remember when his brother pitched for the Tigers.

He hated Sweeney with a passion.

Once he bounced a fastball off of Sweeney's head and caught the resulting fly ball.

A brawl thus ensued, of course. :D

I think he pitched for the M's at one point too. Could be wrong about that.

You are correct.

I never did learn why Jeff's pitching career didn't go farther. Maybe our pitching coaches fucked him up, or maybe he never learned how to keep his cool. Jered's also got that "loose cannon" thing about him.

Didn't/doesn't Jered have a few more MPH on his fastball? Jeff never struck me as a pitcher who could dial up a heater when he needed one in a big spot.

I seem to recall that Jeff started off his career with a decent fastball. Wiki says his career with Detroit lasted from 1999-2002. He was with the M's in '07.
