Anybody else just feel a rumbling under their feet? It could have just been a huge truck driving by, but it kinda felt like an earthquake here on Vancouver Island.

Its been two weeks since I got bit by my dog and my thumb is almost healed. However there are no signs at all of myself developing any mutant powers. It really sucks.

My mother was a Helen Reddy fan. I grew up with her version of Delta Dawn.

Back from Florida, had an awesome time.

I was VERY close to getting par on 9. Had par going through 7 holes. Hit two great shots to put my ball about 100 yards from the green on a par 5 and thinking 'okay, par will be easy here, just don't pull it into that water.... just don't turn your wrists and then one hole to go... just don't turn your wrists, eye on the ball...... OH FUCK why did you turn your wrists!!' Double bogey and bogey to finish. Oh well, getting closer! Some beautiful golf courses down in Orlando.

One morning I went out and played on my own and got paired with two Canadian guys from Toronto. One of them gave me a Maple Leafs' tee. They teased me about the Caps and Ovechkin a bunch. One of them hates the Caps because his son wears around an Ovechkin jersey all the time. But they asked me a question about Semin and were shocked I knew all about his contracts and everything. "Wow, an American that actually knows something about hockey." Very nice guys. You Canadians are just so damn friendly. :)

I'm finally home and have the internet restored. I left my parents' house at 3:18 PM on Thursday for the airport. My flight from Pittsburgh to Dallas was delayed two and a half hours because the bags weren't there. We landed in Dallas at 10:45, and my flight from Dallas to Tucson, the last one of the day, had already left fifteen minutes before my flight in docked.

Pittsburgh reported weather delays, so American Airlines wouldn't pay for a hotel. Fortunately, another fellow in the airport decided not to use his hotel voucher because his flight was going to leave too early the next morning, so he gave it to me, and the hotel let me use it. My new flight plan was Dallas to Phoenix, and then Phoenix to Tucson, and I had an opportunity to get at least a little sleep. Unfortunately, my contact stuff, glasses, toothbrush, etc., were all in my checked bag, which I couldn't get to, but at least I got to sleep and had a way home.

I got on my plane to Phoenix the next day, and then we found out we would be delayed by an hour due to an issue with the air conditioning. That meant I was going to have about 20 minutes between that plane landing and my plane to Tucson taking off to find out what terminal and gate it was, get through security, and get to the gate to board the plane. I gave it my best shot, and asked an employee where the US Airways terminal was, and she told me it was 2, so I took off from terminal 3 to terminal 2, sprinting across the airport because I just missed the bus. When I got to terminal 2, I cleared security and got through the entire terminal looking for my gate by five minutes before my flight was due to take off. But I couldn't find my flight on any of the boards. I was in the wrong terminal. My flight was actually taking off out of terminal 4, which was the farthest terminal from me.

So I was again stuck. I was able to get another flight out that would get me to Tucson before the next shuttle would, so I took it. I had a couple hours, so I ate dinner and drank a couple beers, and even found out what was in the restaurant's fry seasoning, which I liked a good deal (salt, pepper, cayenne pepper, and brown sugar, if you were curious). I got on my plane and got to Tucson, where my checked bag was supposed to be waiting for me, as it was scheduled to go out to Tucson on the first flight out of Dallas that morning. Unfortunately, it had gone to Houston instead. It all got sorted out, and it came to my door this morning.

So my 11-hour trip turned into a 30-hour trip, and I spent two nights without my toothbrush and glasses, and my internet was broken in my house, but I have at least since fixed that, and now all is well. The end.

Well, it was a localized earthquake as the main spring on one of my garage doors snapped and that is what shook the house.

I looked up into the sky, searching for the moon. I was afraid I might not find it. But someone conveniently circled it for me, so my troubles were no more, and I got to see the moon.

weren't the liberals trying to privatize it all anyway?

failed when the opposition exposed that liberal insiders who stood to gain from privatization took part in writing the RFP

they had to stop the process because they couldnt stand the firestorm it was going to create

NDP will win the next election and I cant see them harming their union brethren
