The Tigers just gave $80 MILLION to Anibal Sanchez. Congratulations to Alex Rodriguez. He no longer has the most absurd contract in MLB.

Higgy says :tsk:

Higgy is happy. Of course he's overpaid, which MLB player isn't?

He was the second best pitcher on the market behind Greinke, and he was terrific for us in the playoffs.

Josh Hamilton's contract is the most absurd.

I finally watched The Secret World of Arietty. It was really good. Once again, Miyazaki achieved an aesthetically beautiful movie with a good story and good acting. It's not his best work, but his best work is some of the most brilliant animation ever, so that still means it was very good.

Zags win over K-State 68-52 tonight. I should have put more than 100 on my vBookie bet.

'Bout time we won one for these Battles In Seattle. (even though we won last year, too.)

So RA Dickey heading to Toronto? Looks like the Jays are going all in right now with the Red Sox looking to have an off year and the Yanks looking vulnerable. The Mets are getting some good rebuilding pieces, good move for both teams.

Jays going all in. They could easily win the AL East this year. The Yanks have big holes to fill and are trying to stay under the luxury tax limit, the Sox aren't going to bounce back that quickly, not sure about which direction the Rays will go. Honestly, I see them duking it out with the O's sooner than anyone else.

All this said: the Jays are risking a lot with the trade...you have to take risks, and honestly in baseball prospects are generally overrated, but seems like they gave up two very good prospects.

It sure didn't take long for Ricky Romero to go from the ace of the staff to likely 5th starting pitcher in the rotation.
