Steelers by-week, Pitt's playing on Friday next week so they're off, Pirates are a confirmed lost cause, and the NHL is locked out...so I'm watching a show on puppies.

Odd story. Hope he's alright.
My wife hadn't seen her father in about 10 years when she got a call from the secret service. Apparently her dad turned up at the Whitehouse and was insisting he was to see the President on urgent business
Haven't seen or heard anything about him since. I've never even met him.

The fuck...

Do you suppose you're being kept an eye on by CIA-type people in dark suits and black sunglasses?!

I tried unsuccessfully to find a pic of Willie Mays Hayes and Rick Vaughn admiring Jake Taylor's home run.

Yay! Good close game tonight. Its not a great team by any stretch but it seems like different players every night help out.

Thanks. The mum is relieved to know he's still alive and not living on the streets. He's finding work through temps so it doesn't look like he's down and out. He's also clean shaven and his hair is cut fairly neat. I can't be too worried.

The story of your wife's dad reminds me of this dude I remember from my days in West Van. He was able to convince major companies to provide him with hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of backing (large, large sums of money back in '79) for a project on the premise that he was a financial wizard with international cred. Little did they realize that he was basically 35 years old, schizophrenic, no formal education, no job, and living with his mom because he couldn't function in the real world. But apparently he could talk...lol

I had an uncle (not by blood) who was a schizophrenic. I remember staying overnight at his place at age 16 and being woken up at about 2am in the morning with him standing there with a shotgun pointed at me asking, "where are the RCMP"? I - scared shitless - just said, "haven't seen the RCMP; I think you're ok". He just kind of grunted and left. I came home the next day, confronted my mom about it, and she just shrugged it off by saying, "oh never mind Gord, he's harmless". He never did kill anyone so maybe she was right.

One of my friends had a schizophrenic girlfriend that he lived with. One day, he winds up dead from drowning in the bath tub. We all figured she drowned him but the coroners, courts, what have you, thought differently and acquitted her of any wrong doing. Two years ago, she ends up stabbing her next live in boyfriend to death.

This next dude is dead because of arrogance, pure and simple.
