Oh.
Also, what the heck, Adam LaRoche. Why couldn't you have been this competent for the Pirates? 30 home runs and almost 100 RBIs? Where did that come from?
I told you Pirates' fans that Erik Bedard was tricksy. I told you he was false!
He did tease us.
But at least we remembered how to hit.
I'm just glad it's looking like I don't have to send you or Pix $5 and eat my words.
At least the Pirates' are moving in the right direction. They just don't have the pitching to hang with the playoff teams quite yet. But they have building blocks now. They didn't even have bristle blocks a few seasons ago.
These young pitchers we called up for the bullpen are just not getting the job done right now. Hopefully, they settle down a bit and start helping out.
In the meanwhile, we need guys like Hughes and Grilli to get back on track.
He must be thinking he's back playing for the Tigers. He was beyond horrible and we couldn't wait for him to get outta town...
This game has been horrifying in so many ways...three close plays at first base that all got called against us (only 100% sure that the last one was a mistake), Fielder knocking Avila out cold trying to get a foul ball, Porcello doing his job getting ground balls and still getting scored upon...good to see the team fighting hard.
That's because I wasn't watching. I turned it on right after Avila got knocked out of the game. Notice what happened once I tuned in?
