All four papers are about phosgene, which was evidently one of the toxic gases used in WWII, or a precursor to one. I'll know for sure once I start reading. In any case, it's nasty, nasty stuff, but in the small quantities we use for our experiments, it shouldn't be too terribly dangerous.

No one has ever done the measurements we do on phosgene, so it's pretty much instantly publishable, especially if I do comparisons to similar molecules, like formaldehyde, dibromoformaldehyde, and/or diiodoformaldehyde.

This could be big, guys.

I'm getting great data right now, and I want to keep getting data until it sucks, but it's 5:00 and I also want to go home.

I've collected 20 images, and that's a great stopping point, but I wouldn't mind getting to 25, since that's an even better stopping point, but that will take 50 more minutes...
