Love that movie.

It is probably the reason the B-17 was one of my favorite planes as a kid. Don't you think the Flying Fortress has a kind of elegance about it?

Normally, anyone choosing to jump out of a helicopter flying at 2400 feet would have a parachute strapped to their back to ensure a safe landing. But stuntman Gary Connery decided to do things a little differently - he is the first person ever to jump out of a helicopter half a mile up in the air without a parachute and land safely.

Mr. Connery, who has performed stunts in films including Indiana Jones, Batman, and Harry Potter, was wearing a winged "bird suit" for the stunt, and he landed in a 12-foot-high, 300-foot-long pile of empty cardboard boxes.
