Also tomorrow is the last time you'll see me until April 11 or 12. I'm vanishing into isolation to finish my senior project, write a food piece, and stay caught up in Optics. If I post between Monday and April 11, temporarily ban me. Seriously. I have to get this stuff done so that I can graduate.

I wish. Especially since I write humor. But food pieces are one of the easiest styles we're doing in my nonfiction class. You basically just write about the context and sensory experience of eating. Pick a place and a food, and write about it, so if you go to a restaurant, tell a story about what you observe around you, how your food looks, tastes, smells, feels, and, if applicable, sounds. Every sense should be incorporated, and you should do introspection throughout the experience. The shortest piece we can write is 1000 words, as that is classified as a flash piece. I usually write anywhere from 6 to 15 pages for my nonfiction work, personally.
