However, Chris Snyder, Pirates' catcher, is now on the DL with a back injury. Ryan Doumit, the backup, is also still on the DL, and Jason Jaramillo, the AAA starter, is also injured. So tonight the Pirates have their 4th and 5th string catchers active...

Not much offense in the Pirates/Diamondbacks game. Scoreless through four, and only 5 hits total.

Of course, last night, only 5 runs were scored despite 25 hits being tallied.

Also, I'm keeping a scorecard tonight, using the one in my program from last night's game. I'm going to get a scorecard book, I think, because I've always enjoyed doing this. And this card is much too small to keep track of everything I like to track. I like to tally the counts, and the pitch count in each at bat, make notes on outs and hits, etc., but there's barely room on this card for the result of the at bat.
