I'm only a quarter Finn. I'm a quarter Scottish and then I'm just white on my moms side. Both grandparents were addopted, so they really don't know

Eh, I'm not that upset about it right now actually. Didn't take me as long to accept it as I thought it would. Maybe because its the words she used, and maybe she is just being nice, but she said that it just isn't working out 'right now'. Either false hope or actual hope. I'll find out later I guess.

It's hard to say without knowing the person or the circumstance. But when I was younger, I would often not be completely honest with a dude when breaking up with him and I would use language like that to soften the blow and divert the blame from myself. I don't know how old she is or how long you dated and what her personality is like though.

My advice right now would be to let go of any hope because in the event that you don't get back together, it's just going to take that much longer to move on. You should probably start the grieving process right now instead of trying to convince yourself it's temporary.

I kinda agree with what she said though which makes it harder for me to believe its just trying to make me feel better. But we basically were best friends before we started dating, so it might be her trying to not make me feel bad because she does care for me. Its hard to read it, but I'll prepare for the worst and hope for the best I suppose
