I can relate. It's not a hair issue for me, though. It's the fact that I move so much that I wake up sweating.

So one time, the fire alarm went off at 4:30 AM, and I was sound asleep when it started. Well, it woke me up, of course, but I had no idea where I was or what that awful sound was, and I panicked in the instant that I awoke, throwing myself into my window and damaging the blinds. Then I fell back down to the bed, slowly gained the understanding of what was going on, and got myself outside.

I had something similar happen but I didn't panic. A firetruck drove by with their sirens blaring and my boyfriend at the time said I woke up and started talking about Back II the Future. Since I was technically still asleep, I wasn't really seeing the firetruck. I got out of bed and leaned at the window and was yelling about Doc and the DeLorean.

One time at a hotel at like 5 in the morning, I woke up to the sound of people trying to get into my room using a hotel key card. They were persistent and so drunk out of their minds that they couldn't fathom why their key wasn't working. So looking through the door hole I said, "Uh sorry, but this room is taken." I heard one of their number say, "Dude! There's a guy in there!" and then another say, "Let's try the next room."

My girlfriend does something similar, but she just says things that aren't words, so I tell her to go back to sleep. I actually launched myself over her and into the blinds, and she's the one who told me what was going on.

I'm not sure why I left those details out initially.

lol... I only had one instance that something like this happened to me. I think I was 14 or 15. I woke up and ran to the phone, my family was all awake and watching me, apparently I was talking to Morpheus and thought I was in the Matrix. Nothing triggered it though
