Sounds good to me.
Sleeping speeds healing, right?
Thanks. I think I'll go to bed now. Sleeping speeds healing, right?
thanks ww can't use smiles or anything with my phone.either having some kind of connection problems or our router is shot.Usually I make my own flowers though.
Everyone's leaving and I'm just getting here. I have a lot of wine in me, and I have to get up early and finish my senior project (one section and the appendices to go!), so I'm getting some water in me to avoid a hangover. It was Hungarian dinner night at my adviser's house, and I kind of lost track of how much wine I was actually drinking. I think I got up to around eight glasses...
8 glasses & you're still coherent. That's impressive. I'm not much of a drinker. I did however have one night I'll never forget. I lost track of how many Tequila Shooters I had. I know there were at least 3 or 4 glasses of vodka with another drink inside them as well. I guess the combination of these drinks didn't sit well with the 2 Strawberry Daquiri's I had earlier in the evening.
I was told by friends I got very sick while in the car & that other people on the freeway avoided us like the plague because I had my head out the window.
I don't remember any of that. All I remember is I kept falling down trying to get up the stairs when I got home. I remember a bunch of hands grabbing me & getting me to my bed where I passed out. It took me two days to recover.
It takes a lot to get me under. I'm a big guy, and I eat a lot all the time, so it helps me deal with the stuff. Eight is a pretty light night for me, and I wouldn't be bothering with all this water if I wasn't waking up at 7:30 tomorrow morning to go into lab early and finish my senior project. I'm not drunk, I just know I had a lot, so I'm preventing bad things from happening to me in the morning.
I have been drunk twice (maybe three times, it's debatable), though. The first time was also my only blackout. I don't remember what happened after the eighteenth drink. Granted, this whole process took over twelve hours, which probably saved my life, but I'm never going to do that again. The other time was eight glasses of wine one of straight whiskey, and two of straight scotch. I didn't blackout that night, nor did I get sick, but I knew I was drunk. However, I was able to effectively help my friend who was much drunker, and the situation actually sobered me up quickly.
My only other notable alcohol story is the time I revived someone who stopped breathing after a night at the bar. I think I got extremely lucky in that situation, and I definitely got away from it as soon as the paramedics showed up, but I'm kind of proud anyway of myself for keeping my head and opening the kid's airways, and then using a pain response to get the kid to become responsive again.
Very cool that you saved that kids life. The story above is really the only time I've been drunk. I probably had 9 or 10 drinks all together. I went out with friends to the same place another time & ordered a daquiri. I took two sips & that was it. It didn't taste good to me. I've only had 3 glasses of Newcastle from the tap since. For some reason Alcohol doesn't agree with me & that's okay. I'll live.
