Anybody catch the Tour de France today? American rider Chris Horner crashed with about 30km to go, and finished last in the field (of those who finished) - something like 13 minutes behind the leaders. When he crossed the line, he had no idea what happened, how he got there, or even where he was.

As hockey fans, we've seen concussions, but this one was something else - how the hell did he finish the stage with that severe of a concussion?

What do you guys think they should or will change? Somebody suggested just some nets protruding from the facing of upper/middle decks. Like to catch people if they go over. Seems like a solution that wouldn't interfere with the view and wouldn't be uber expensive.

They just showed the Tour crash. Insanity. Guys in ditches, guys on the road.

It knocked out Bradley Wiggins, who was a top 10 competitor on the Tour, maybe even Top 5.

Its terrible but I do not think they should change anything. I hope they do not stop the players from tossing balls into the stands.

If there was a top, he would have just fallen on that - don't even think he reaches the field. They showed a profile shot during the TV broadcast, it's just space between the wall and the supports underneath the stands. I think he just went straight down.

I'm not saying they should change something, I just think the coverage is such that they might. I personally still don't like the nets at hockey games, but the situation was such they felt they had to do something.
