Nazzy, what do the Ducks look like this year? Can we get back to the big one?

As long as we find adequate replacements for losses on the front 7, and no big issues with this recruiting thing, I like our chances to do it again!

I agree, haven't been keeping up much on it though, didn't they just get into some violation troubles?

Your take on the trades?

My take will be incomplete until the final roster is set in stone. Right now the defense and goaltending positions are in "win now" mode, whilst the forward core isn't quite there yet. They'll add someone on Friday, but at this point, who knows who that will be. Homer could go out and offer sheet Stamkos and it wouldn't surprise me.

As far as the trades themselves, I think the Flyers got good return. They've been in dire need of size on wing, and Voracek and Simmonds fill that void - in young, able, bodies to boot. Their farm system was basically empty, and now they've added two top-notch prospects in Schenn and Couturier. Plus, for the first time in ages, they have a manageable cap situation AND a premier goaltender.

I loved Richards and Carter, and I thought they were the face of the franchise. I was stunned at first, but now that I've had time to digest I think that Homer did indeed make some fantastic hockey moves. Necessary ones at that. He definitely has some big brass balls, too.

watching Valkyrie.

so far, too much yakyak, not enough boomboom. Not sure if I like it.
has to be a heck of a movie to overcome that much Tom Cruise screen time.
