I'm doing well. Loving life with this heat wave over and it was quite the exciting week around here with the quake/'cane all at once. Pysched for football and hockey to start up.

The bolded sounds like a really cool class. Lots of physics I'm guessing? I always really liked physics. Appeals to my inner math :nerd:.

Physics and chemistry are the same thing in my opinion, so, yeah, lots of physics.

But really what it comes down to is a math-intensive, molecular level evaluation of how energy moves between particles in chemical systems, then extrapolating that to macroscopic systems.

I understood the bolded part, but then I think your keyboard had a malfunction, b/c all the words after are just gibberish. ;)

Sounds like a good use for fractal math to explain complex, seemingly random systems.

That's a pretty fair and accurate analogy. We're talking now about ensembles, and we determine the degeneracy of the ensembles with combinatorics, and that gives us more information about the system.

Not worthy of it's own thread, but Alex Semin is giving out sage advice at a youth camp in Krasnoyarsk, Russia...

"To become a star, you need to work hard in training sessions and always give your all in games."

Maybe he should attend his own hockey camp. :L

Some people learn more from their failures than their successes, and then teach. So why do?

Despite my best efforts, he will remain on the team. Hope he improves/changes his approach. Read a great interview with Mike Green - sounds like some changes (in attitude) are coming. People like to rag on him, but he's been doing all the right things.

I just hope they can continue the great D, improve the PP, and they should be a force this year. I'm cautiously optimistic.

Anyone else ever get action because of hockey?
you don't actually have to play very high level hockey to have puck bunnies around. One of the perks of growing up in a town where there was nothing else to do.
I dated this one cougar though who would come over to watch hockey games, and we would need to 'celebrate' every time the canucks scored. and, no we couldn't leave the living room, or we'd miss some of the game. she was pretty cool - she'd almost always bring the beer. :thumb:
Very possible in most cases, but she does get real shitty.

she gets real shitty for a reason though.
she knows exactly what she's doing.
