He looked pretty limp, but it also looked like he didn't hit his head. And better to displace all that energy by spinning around just a few feet in the air than flying 80 feet and skidding along the ground for another 40. He was moving after, though I think the driver/police reaction is odd here. They barely pay attention to him (driver is actually surveying damage to his car). Weird.
