No, Clarky. bad clarky! :nono:

but Chris, did you read the referance made to palindromes on ESPN?

Yes. :) I was just too excited about Bell and Cole to comment on it.

Looking at the Pirates' farm system, it has to be top-10 by now, and loaded with power arms. Cole, Taillon, Heredia, Allie, Holmes, Glasnow, Cain, von Rosenberg, and others, as well as some guys who project well as back-of-the-rotation guys like Morris, Locke, Wilson, and Owens.

There are some serious arms in that group. And more besides. Unfortunately, it looks like Hague, Sanchez, Bell, Dickerson, Lambo, Marte, Grossman, and Ngope are our only legitimate bats... That's just not enough.

I'm slacking in this thread.

I'm slacking on SportsHoopla.

That's because I'm actually being productive in real life, though. :)

Looks good on paper Chris. We both know that things don't pan out the way they are supposed to with prospects, especially in baseball. Hope for the pirates sake they get a few of those guys to make an impact, but there is just as much liklihood that more than a handful of those guys make an impact as there is none of them do.

Good farm systems almost always translate into good teams because good farm systems are deep enough to account for the fact that not all prospects pan out. The Pirates have five pitchers with ace upside. Pitchers usually make it about 20% of the time. That means, odds are the Pirates will get an ace out of that bunch.

I'm not.

I'm still not.

And once again I'm not. I'm being evil with my life I guess..

I read that story. Way to go?

I'm going to be very not-SportsHoopla-centric until mid December. Graduate school will eat my life.

haha, I like your response DS. Not very like me, but I'm not really sure why I did it :noidea:

I kind of did it once. Except she was single when I did it. But I was very cryptic about it, and she didn't get it. But apparently she had been having a rough day that day, and my cryptic comment cheered her up, so good did come of it.

Oh, she had just broken up with her boyfriend, who wasn't very nice to her. She stayed with him as long as she did because he would tell her she could never find anyone else to take her. If he didn't spend all his time in Michigan, I would have probably done something regrettable to him.

A couple weeks later, though, she got back together with him, and they're still together. Oh well.

I disclose way too much on these boards.

Oh well, I'm going to bed.

Later all!

Nice to watch Jon Rausch throw more gasoline on the fire last night...The Mariners don't need anybody stealing signs with that guy on the mound, every pitch is a fat juicy one over the middle of the plate.

Yeah, I'll admit I jumped on the bandwagon when the Jays made the playoffs and won a couple of World Series, but I was always much more of an Expos fan than a Jays fan.
