The Spokane Chiefs beat Seattle 8-2 tonight. Spokane has the best offense in the WHL and is on pace for 298 goals. Whodda thunk it after losing Beach, Wahl, Spurgeon and Ulmer after last season?

Spokane is also now just 6 points back of Portland for first in the US division with 3 games in hand.

Curses. I work during the Winter Classic. Maybe I can turn on the radio in the toolbox behind the registers and listen to it. But I'm the only huge hockey fan who works there, so I might be hard pressed to get that to work.

I didn't do one but I would have taken Maryland over ECU or Nebraska over Washington. UMD was like a top 3 team in the ACC and got screwed into that bowl. I also like Mississippi State over Michigan by a ton
