It just doesn't make sense. Hardy, Brendan Harris, and $500,000 to the Orioles for Jim Hoey and Brett Jacobson, two minor-league relief pitchers. Hoey's ERA last season was over 8. The Pirates were at least offering Resop or Gallagher and a low minor league player. Resop and Gallagher are both better than Hoey, and they weren't asking for Harris in return as well. It just doesn't make sense that the Twins would take such a crappy deal with a better one on the table...
