I spent yesterday travelling to Vancouver to pick up my daughters two cats. She’s off to Europe, with my wife and I am the designated sitter. Because they love me so much. The cats that is.
This is an Instagram and I don’t know if it’ll work or not because I’m not up on that kind of shit. It worked when I received it but I’m passing it along, so who knows.
A co-worker of mine who fosters pets knew I would likely be an easy target sooner or later after my last cat passed away.. I needed time though. When the time got closer she kept sending me photos of cats she was fostering of that needed adopted. I promised I wasn't gonna adopt a cat based on looks but I typically get two cats at a time and one has always been a calico ever since I was a kid when my parents would let us have an inside cat. She kept sending me photos and I wasn't yet ready so I didn't look too closely at them as I didn't want to get attached to a photo when I wasn't ready. When I was finally ready I wanted a male and female, I asked her if her shelter had any calicos, they didn't but one of her friends who was about to take her kittens to the shelter did so they bypassed the shelter... Sent me a photo of Nora and I was like SHIIIIIIIIT, now I want her... Also sent a picture of Cyrus and I was like shiiiiiiiiiiit now I want him too. However, I thought I am not gonna give in. I have to meet them first and see if we click... Me being easy to click with any cat knowing what the end result would likely be drove the 45 minutes a week later and within 30 seconds of seeing the two cats, I was like ok, yep. I want these two... The girl asked me if I wanted to see the others or if I was ok with these two and I was like nooooope don't show me any others otherwise I might just take 4 home. I was sold on these two. She took the other 4 to the shelter and they all got adopted quickly. Sorry for the long story but I like to share it.
