pretty stupid that they will outlaw the infield shift.
If you want to leave one half of the infield open, I'm going to slap one down the line for a single or better every time.
If i am unable to do that as a batter, that's on me.

I don't like the shift, but I don't think it should be banned. I have heard that one of the reasons the players association doesn't like it is that if a power hitter does what you describe above - it will affect his salary next contract. Batting average and speed take a backseat to power in today's game.

The Orioles are falling apart so they should be in good shape. I really though the Orioles bats would be good and the pitching awful. pretty much the opposite. Tough to lose a 1-0 game when you really need it.
