I'd be more excited about Alice Cooper.
Hope he gets a full set, he puts on a hell of a show.

/have seen both, for the record

actually while I am excited for Alice Cooper (really excited) I just didnt think to mention him I should have. I have never seen him before that is actually very cool.

Grohl is the only guy I would consider a 'rock god' right now.
he's doing what he wants, and kicking ass every step of the way.

- most talented musician of Nirvana
- Foo Fighters first album was literally ALL him
- put together Them Crooked Vultures to get JPJ back in the game
- session drummer for everyone from Pal McCartney to Lemmy
- making an important documentary (that looks great), just because he felt like it

I'm a huge Nirvana fan. but when it comes to Dave Grohl....not so much.

He seems a lot more interested in being some mainstream rock superhero.

Not only last night with the Beatles tribute but well before this by getting on stage with these rock legends of the past. Just the opposite of what Nirvana was all about. He's a sell out IMO

Cobain's spinning in his grave.

Participating in the "Cryptic Rock Band' thread on the Other Forums/Entertainment board got me thinking about this band from the late '70s/early '80s, featuring guitar ace Ronnie Montrose. I really liked them back in the day, & never understood how they didn't break it big.

The Orstrahyun: RIP AC/DC: 1973 - 2014

this is horrible. Malcolm Young had a stroke and forgot how to play as a result of a blood clot to the brain. AC/DC is calling it quits after 41 years. WOW.

hope for a full recovery for Malcolm

damn. I know Angus got all the headlines, but Malcolm was a seriously great rhythm player.
I had an uncle who was one of the top Bluegrass banjo players in Canada who had a stroke and had to teach himself to play all over again. It took him a couple of years, but he was performing again.

It's a rumor and doesn't appear to be true...
