OT: Guitar Talk

I plan on getting that mbox and ez drummer fairly soon, definitely within a month. When I do, I am going to send you the full on guitar track, on time (not just free for all like I usually do), and you can go balls to the wall with whatever you feel.

One thing that really sticks out for me with the synth, is at the :33 mark on the second riff where I descend, I totally hear the synth ascending in the same key. It would be a cool contrast.

Whats a step sequencer? I'm literally retarded with this shit. lol

A step sequencer allows you to input the desired notes (or, in the case of the drums, the hi hat, cymbals, snare, bass, whatever) wherever you want within the bar of the beat without actually have to play it in real time. You want to put the bass drum on the last 1/8 note of a half beat; no problemo, you'll have an option to "punch" that in.

I would highly doubt EZ drummer wouldn't have a step sequencer, but I do have some software that doesn't have a step sequencer and unless you're a really talented "finger drummer" you'll want to kill yourself using it.

Yup, that little chromatic thing I'm assuming? I actually thought about that (at least in terms of adding something there), but would have been too difficult and time consuming to set up without a click track.

I just jammed with a buddy of mine from H.S., haven't seen him in years. Our styles really meshed well, we decided to definitely pursue putting something together. All I gotta say is you guys are going to love this shit. We are combining blues, rock and jazz with a very heavy funk influence. It was a ton of fun. I'll try and get a little something recorded next time we jam in a week or two.

May have a drummer for the new project already. I'm amped.

Well, now we are a 3 piece and in need of a practice space. A lot harder than I thought. Never had to find a space, drummer always had a garage in the past.
