weedwacker today.

trying to take down a bunch of wild rose bush on our property. only problem is its on a hill and it the past several days prior to today have been pretty wet in jersey.

one wrong step, i slipped down the hill, and underneath the weedwacker. sure as hell better than a lawn mower but holy shit did that hurt. absolutely destroyed my shin. they couldn't even stitch it it was such a mess.

i basically have 4 scraggly deep cuts in a straight line up my leg and no skin next to them. got burned right of. never thought a weed wacker would cause me this much trouble.

that sounds gory ... they can do damage in many ways

beginning of June i was doing edging with the weedwacker on its side and I chose to do it without eye protection (dumb!)

got a small rock in the eye ... actually cut a flap out of my iris ... was on 3 types of eye drops and one gel for the rest of June ... optometrist said i was the 4th person that weekend she saw with that type of "gardening injury"

pulled out the weedwacker again saturday ... this time with eye protection courtesy of a fathers day gift (lol) ... something flew up and went under the glasses and into my same eye ... luckily i think it was just a leaf

Im looking into a welders mask next

That thing's out to get you!

And I hope you get some sweet scars from this, devs. Claim you got them in a knife-fight with a midget or something.

hey thanks everybody. if its any consolation, seeing as how this is a hockey board and i played my whole life. when we got home it went right back and finished the job.

however thats also in part because i'm being paid to do so ;)

but the leg is good. its actually still bleeding a little bit here and there in little spurts but at this points its mostly just like having a burn thats really swollen also. but its not affecting daily life so thats all i care
