Clyde, thank you for creating this thread. Not for the stuff on Cari Champion, but because now I don't have to create a special thread for what I'm about to get into.

I NEVER post stuff about First Take on this board but today I'm going to. I might have even had to create a special thread for this had this thread not been on here because Skip Bayless embarassed himself today maybe as bad as I've ever heard anybody in sports embarass themself.

It happened in the 2nd hour of the show when they brought Mangini on to talk about whose fault it was on the play when Tillman returned Romo's INT it for six. I was going to quote everybody word for word on here and present it that way but everybody who keeps up with the show or Bayless himself must see how badly he embarassed himself today so I'm going to post the link to today's show so you can listen to it instead.

First Take - ESPN

Zoom ahead to about the 44 or so minute mark. It'll take a little while to load if you zoom to that point so give it time. I think that's about where it starts. It's right after the Jay Feely part. Enjoy. That's all I'm going to say because it takes a few minutes to get through. I'd love to hear what others thought of it.

I was able to see that part of the show. Skip says to Mangini, "I'm sorry, I wasn't fired twice.." Maginin did seem irritated after Skip said those words.

Skip is a dick.

While I do think many in today's world would consider that as being unprofessional and/or mean, I didn't really have a huge problem with THAT line. That's one of the types of jabs you'll see on that show and anybody sitting in one of those chairs should know that going in.

The main thing that got me fired up is the arrogance of a certain somebody to think they KNOW, but they really don't. I've said it so many times on this board but I'll repeat the line again. It's one of my favorite lines ever uttered by somebody in sports. "You think you know, but you don't know. You really don't." - Jim Mora.

Skip said that the Cutler-Marshall connection was the best in the league. SAS listed 7 QB-WR connections that were arguably better. Skip responds that if you have 7, you have none. (Like the having two QBs meaning you have none.)

I went home and had to listen to the exchange with Mangini once more. That was SO embarassingly bad for Skip. It made me laugh out loud this time. I've NEVER seen anything that embarassingly bad from him and that's saying alot.

Gawd what a moron. SAS did move up a bit for me, I didn't really care for him before but freakin' Skip just sounded like he has NO CLUE.

Skip thinks the Pats are best team in the NFL... hardly any luv for the niners anymore.

Antonio Pierce still sees us as the best team in the NFL.

Stephen A Smith kisses so much ass of the guests and athletes. And Bayless...well he is just an ass.

Antonio Pierce said that this 49ers defense is the best he's seen since the 2000 Ravens. Skip responded with his idiotic surprise face and said, "Better than 12 year young Ray Lewis and Ed Reed!?!".

Little does he know Ed Reed wasn't drafted 'til 2002.

Can Alex Smith lead the 49ers to the Super Bowl?

Actually agree with Skip on this one for the most part aside from the whole Alex Smith's confidence is being hurt by CK coming in as I don't see that as the case.

But it echos what many of us are thinking in that CK is getting way too many snaps and needs to just be sprinkled in there rather than being a focal point of the offense.
