None of the actual governments that have nuclear weapons scare me at all.

Aside from Russia, the entire rest of the nuclear arsenal in the world, even when taken at the high end of estimates, is still only about half of what the US has active (~1050 vs. ~2000), and about 1/8 of what we have total (~8500). Consider then that approximately half of that 1050 belongs to France and the UK.

A rogue foreign government would not be dumb enough to attack via nuclear weapon because they would know that they would be obliterated. North Korea is believed to have less than 10 warheads, little capacity to deploy them with any significant range, and little funding to create new warheads.

India, Israel, and China have far too much to lose (not to mention that they could be obliterated) that it ends up being a situation similar to the MAD doctrine of the cold war.

Why the hell did the US let the Brits test their weapons in our country?

I assume a joint exercise. All of that data is not accurate as I know that WE have tested in a couple of places that did not show up on the map. Not to mention, I do not think that Japan would consider those 2nd and 3rd explosions as "tests".

That was one of my first thoughts when I saw the video.

Back in the mid 1980's when I was visiting Las Vegas, They were going to test a nuclear bomb underground at the Nevada Test Site. I was on the 14th floor of the Las Vegas Hilton. The explosion was to take place at 8:30 am. I stayed in bed to see if I could experience the shock. Less than a minute later, I did.
