I checked out Pavement on youtube. I liked them. Sort of reminded me of Weezer a little.

The only show i got to see this summer was Stone Temple Pilots. They still kick ass after all these years. Weiland is a hell of a performer, and the Deleo brothers are great on bass and guitar.

Too bad Weiland will never kick his habit. I saw him with Velvet Revolver, he was awesome live... Then they kicked him out.

man, I don't think I saw anyone this summer.
last show I remember was Alice In Chains last year.

I am making a road trip to see Greg Dulli in Seattle shortly.
It's his first solo tour, should be awesome.
(leading force behind: Afghan Whigs, Twilight Singers, Gutter twins)

I don't know them, but will look them up if they are at all similar.
I am approaching fan-boy status with Greg Dulli's work.
Afghan Whigs 'Gentlemen' is high up on my list of desert island disks

Wouldn't necessarily say they are similar. But very gloomy and different. I appreciate their music a lot. Listen to the song "Tangled".

Here goes a few songs from last nights concert... Pavement still puts on a hell of a show... the opened with:

YouTube - Pavement Hollywood Bowl - Cut Your Hair - 30 September 2010 - Live

(there are a few other songs from the hollywood bowl people have posted, none of these are my videos mind you)

Sonic Youth... double thumbs up as well... I was a bit nervous they would be playing newer stuff... but they didn't, they rocked the house... here's Death Valley '69.
