OT: David Stern is a joke

Stern has no problem when teams tank games to get lottery picks or their franchise moved.

He's a crybaby hypocrite.

As for the fans getting what they wanted? It was a great game. Tickets say Spurs vs Heat not Duncan,Ginobli,Parker vs Heat


What about other sports? NFL teams routinely coast into playoffs resting starters. Fans there aren't crying. MTFU and STFU crybaby fans. DIAF Stern.

The coach can do what the fuck he likes with his players.

By sitting his top guys he pretty much guaranteed a loss (or one would have thought). If he's good enough to just give a game away and still be a contender,more power to him.

What's next? You didn't send your guys home buuuuut..... this was a nationally televised game and you only played Duncan for 18 minutes. FINE!!!

I can understand if the Head destroyed the Spurs or if they did it against the Wizards, but they did it against the reigning NBA Champions who are expected to be as good or better. $250k is a joke when all that happened is a team's bench beat the Heat.

Saying he did this as a "Fuck you" to the NBA is probably wrong considering hes done it before, and I'm pretty sure he'll do it again. I'd be more incline to agree if this was his first or 2nd time hes done it, but he did it atleast 3 times last year. Hell, hes sat people DURING playoff games.

The coach's job isn't to sell tickets; it's to win games. If Popovich did this just to fuck over the league, then he is being remiss in his duty to his team by not providing them with the best chance to win. If Popovich did it in order to give his stars some rest in a pretty crazy schedule, then he should not be fined.

This sounds an argument I had on the Devils board last year....
