I just saw the score.

I was referring to some questions being asked of Montreal by a TSN reporter, nazzy. They have a good team, but nowhere near a dynasty regardless of back-to-back Grey Cup wins.

Any truth to the rumour that they won the game only playing three downs? If so that's incredible ! ;)

I should add that Anthony Calvillo is one classy and courageous player and best of luck to him with his health/upcoming surgery...

Didn't care who won, but I was hoping the Riders would tie it up so it would go into OT. Would have made for some even more exciting football because OT in the CFL is crazy. :D

i cant even imagine how big a story it would be if the superbowl winning qb came out post game and said "I have to have a surgery and I might have cancer"

best of luck to a very classy guy

couple things i noticed (just watched game this morn)

- Stephen Harper is a chickenshit. Goes to the game and wears Edmonton colours.
(no, he's not from Edmonton, he's from Toronto)

- Randy Bachman in the halftime show, was using an Epiphone goldtop, while his backup was a Gibson Les Paul.
(for those that aren't gear-nerds, Epiphone is owned by Gibson, but it is their budget line.)

- best wishes to Calvillo. His wife survived cancer a couple of years ago. Tough couple of years, and he's been the consummate professional throughout.

one more thing... David Duvall sure made that game a lot harder on Mtl.
2 missed field goals, short crooked punts, out of bounds kick-offs, almost gave away the 3rd down gamble.

he just hasn't been the same since he shot 59 at the Bob Hope Classic

something must have happened when he changed his first name from Damon

/on Duvall ... wrap your head around this one ... second highest paid Alouette

//i get it now ...

While it seems highly improbable Trestman would ever be told which players must be on his roster, it'll be interesting to see how Duval's future unravels with Monday's announcement of the resignation of team president Larry Smith, effective Dec. 31. Smith is Duval's father-in-law.
