briefly heard an interview with McCown today and Votto said who from the olympics would be in the running with him for cdn athlete of the year and after Sid Crosby was mentioned Alex Bilodeau came up and Votto said "what is he a figure skiier"

edit/ I misremembred that one ... he didnt say figure skiier ... but the interview was a good one near the end they talk about cdn athlete of the year and he does mock bilodeau (sounded like it to me anyways)

Good for him. He deserved it. Props to the writers for getting it right this year. 7.4 WAR is very impressive, and only Josh Hamilton's was higher at 8.0. Great season, Votto.

Votto was named winner of the Lou Marsh award today (this award is presented annually by the Toronto Star to Canada's outstanding athlete).

That's pretty good beating out guys like Crosby and Toews and other athletes at the 2010 Olympic Games. Congrats Joey.
