OT. Computer Question?

For some reason my computer will play sound but no video. For instance when I try to play a youtube video I have sound but no picture. Does anyone have an explanation for this? I've tried a few things & nothing has fixed the problem. Thanks.

I've installed & uninstalled the latest flashplayer a bunch of times. I've reset my browser. I've tried Firefox. Nothing has worked.

DaBolts, did it work before and has it suddenly stopped working? You could try to do a System Restore to a previous point and see if that fixes the issue (maybe you updated something that has somehow disabled your video device driver).

/All of this assumes you're running some version of Windows...

Try this.........go to YouTube - SWF Testing, right click on the video and then click "settings." A box should pop up, uncheck the hardware acceleration box and see if this works for you.

It worked before. But for the past 7 to 10 days it hasn't worked at all. I thought resetting my browser would fix it but that didn't work. Yes I'm running Windows XP & have internet Explorer.
