Annoying characters, not a single one you can empathize with.
Formulaic plot, but you kinda want to see how deep it spirals.

I found it exhausting. I think it was probably good, but too frenetic.

I too liked the ending, and Sandler was pretty great. The star of the movie was John Amos.

I didn't really pay attention enough to remember any of the characters' names, so

The piano player kid was very good. Very enjoyable character. He's from Big Bang Theory, but I've never seen that show either.
Meryl Streep is always good, she really bought in.

but ultimately, it was Hugh Grant move, so.... *blech*



and the family is home ALL the time now, so I haven't even been able to crack into Ozark season 3.

- my goodness Better Call Saul is jst getting better and better. Has surpassed Breaking Bad, imho
- cranked out half of season 3 of Ozark on Sunday. Love the way this season has internalized the family conflict. Shit gettin' real.

- cranked out half of season 3 of Ozark on Sunday. Love the way this season has internalized the family conflict. Shit gettin' real.

I go back and forth on whether BCS is better than Breaking Bad. The fact that its even debatable is pretty amazing. Especially considering that when BCS was announced as a series I thought it was a terrible idea.

Ozark is up next for me, we started the new season of Bosch and want to finish that first. It's really solid.

Westworld is kind of a mess this season.

I watched the first episode of HBO'S Run and hated it. Anybody watching it, thoughts?

Middleditch and Schwartz is so excellent. I like improv oookay, but don't usually love it. But I thought this was a really different take with the two of them each taking on a dozen characters in more in a long form sketch. Very different and they play well off each other.

@forty_three would really enjoy episode 2. It focuses on law school and Maryland. Not even joking. Hahaha.

Fleabag - from "maybe check it out" to "hammering through a season and a half" in four and a half hours.
Perhaps a bit too much reference to ass-fucking to watch with a teenage daughter, but good show nonetheless.

mostly funny, some pretty dark undertones. very well written, I can see why it cleaned up in awards season
